Build financial harmony in your marriage from day one.
This four-part program is designed for Muslim couples who are engaged or in early marriage. It helps you establish a shared financial vision and practical system before small money matters become big problems.
The approach is grounded in Islamic principles of mutual understanding and trust, focusing on consensus and compassion in managing money together.
Program Structure
Four one-hour sessions (online) with guided exercises and take-home tools:
- Intake & Goals: We start by understanding your current situation, financial personalities, and hopes for the future. Both spouses share their experiences with money and discuss big-picture goals.
- Money Mindsets: In session two, we explore your money psychology. You’ll learn about different money management styles (from fully combined to independent) and discover each other’s perspectives. This builds empathy and a unified approach rooted in Islamic principles of fairness and cooperation.
- Money by the Numbers: Next, we get practical with a clear financial plan. We identify your income, expenses, savings targets, and charitable giving (sadaqah) commitments. Together we create a simple Barakah-first budgeting system that allocates funds for necessities, savings, and charity in a way that feels right for both of you.
- System Design & Resilience: Finally, we design your ongoing financial management system as a couple. This may include setting up joint or separate accounts (or a mix) and deciding who will handle which responsibilities. We also stress-test your plan with real-life scenarios (like a sudden job loss or an emergency expense) to ensure your finances can handle surprises. By the end, you’ll have a personalized system and the confidence that you can weather financial ups and downs together
What You'll Walk Away With
You and your spouse will walk away with a shared understanding of how to handle money as a team.
You’ll have agreed-upon frameworks for budgeting, saving, and spending that minimize conflict and foster harmony.
Most importantly, you’ll feel confident that your financial life together is built on trust, transparency, and Islamic values from the very start.
