Understand Islamic inheritance (faraid) and build an Islamic estate plan that works within Canadian & provincial law
Most Muslims were never taught how Islamic inheritance works — or how to apply it in a real Canadian context.
This free, hands-on workshop changes that.
In one afternoon, you’ll learn the core concepts of Islamic inheritance, how Canadian/provincial law affects what actually happens after death, and how to prepare a clean, practical Islamic estate plan.
What You'll Learn
Understand inheritance — the core ideas of faraid, bequests, debts, and estate order
Map Canadian reality — probate, beneficiary designations, joint ownership, and what your will can’t override
Reconcile the two — identify where “legal control” and “Islamic entitlement” don’t match
Prepare your plan — inventory assets, choose roles, plan sadaqah/bequests, and leave clear instructions for family
Date: TBD Time: TBD Masjid in the Park (Address: TBD) Free · Limited Seats · Registration Required
No prior knowledge needed. No sensitive financial info required. Just bring yourself, and a pen
Wasiya Preview (Optional)
You’ll also get a guided walkthrough of Wasiya — an Islamic estate reconciliation system that helps you track your Canadian legal reality and your Islamic distribution side-by-side.
Wasiya is currently in active development. If it’s ready by the workshop, you’ll be able to try it and optionally purchase — but the workshop will be valuable even without the app.
